Titans defeat the Colts in ANOTHER wild OT game, take control of the AFC South

I don't know where to begin with this game. There are so many thoughts good and bad racing through my head.

I wanted to write this post as soon as the game ended, but it was indeed Halloween and I needed to go out trick or treating with my son! Also, no schedule on Hive!

Anyway, this game was absolute chaos. It seems nearly every game the Titans are in it's chaos. But this game was extra chaotic. Maybe chaotic isn't the perfect word for this game, it's a good word but there's a better one. Hmmmm, this game was simply put, a HEART ATTACK. I like to tell myself nowadays that it's just football, not real life, I'm a fan not a member of the team etc. I honestly do a better job than younger me used to do. But I will always be die hard, and this Colts game in particular was just NUTS yo. My emotions were running high literally from the opening possession by the Colts.

The game itself

The Colts initially had a lot of control in this game. I mean, a lot. Half-way through the first quarter the Colts were up 14-0. The Colts had the ball roughly close to mid-field. I was pretty scared. I was picturing ugly blowout scores in my head...

But the Colts ended up going for it AGAIN on fourth down. Only this time the Titans stopped them! Once the Titans got that stop, I knew in my gut the Titans had a great chance of taking advantage. And they did.

From that point on, this game transformed into a real war. Like wow. What a game.

Offensively, Henry struggled. I will get into more of that later. Tannehill had a few bad moments, but also some awesome ones. I'm glad to see him running the ball more on option type plays. Teams still act like this man is not fast, not an athlete that ya know, played RECEIVER at Texas A&M.... I'm not complaining though! I hope teams continue playing stupid!

Henry was held under 100 yards the past two games but the Titans still won.. Casuals are BAFFLED

A.J. Brown is a savage!!!!

I need A.J.'s jersey man. He is soooooo good, and quickly entering the top five receiver in the NFL category. He is just so well rounded and strong. There is not many weaknesses in his game at all! He continues to tear it up.

A.J. Brown's statline: 10 receptions, 155 yards, 1 TD

Please teams, keep thinking the Titans only have Derrick Henry!! Stay in denial I don't care how dumb and casual fans and the media are anymore!

The Titans defense keeps improving, as bad as it may seem with giving up 31 points.... I see positives. The defense is bend but don't break. The defense seems well coached and strong up on the d-line. With players hopefully getting healthier, the defense is slightly a work in progress but I see a lot of hope and potential there.

The Colts absolutely hung around, and then some. This game was really gritty and back and forth. The Colts seem constructed similarly to the Titans in some ways, the Titans just have better parts in my opinion. Better QB and running back, better receivers (at the very least the #1 receiver, especially since Julio was out), just better players.

Late in the game when the game was tied, the Titans had to punt, and man, a lot of complimentary things happened. Titans Pro-Bowl punter Brett Kern punted the ball DEEP into Colts territory. The Titans nearly forced a safety, but Carson Wentz did Carson Wentz things and threw an absolute retarded pass into the waiting arms of stud rookie DB Elijah Molden! It was the quickest pick-six ever! I was screaming and it scared my son LOL.

The Titans then gave up a Colts TD like a minute later, forcing overtime. That pick-six was almost for nothing.

BUT in overtime, Kevin Byard ended up getting a HUGE interception that pretty much instantly put the Titans in FG range. Titans K Randy Bullock drills the kick, and the Titans SWEEP the Colts this season!!!!

This team's resiliency is truly unbelievable at times. I don't know how the Titans keep pushing sometimes. It's impressive and inspiring. I'm so proud of this team.

Big picture for the Titans, possibly bad news...

Three massively important Titans were decently dinged up in the game, and yeah, I'm kind of worried.

  • RB Derrick Henry
  • QB Ryan Tannehill
  • DT Jeffery Simmons

PAIN MAN JUST PAIN!!!!

Yeah, it's scary and sorta depressing. I'm gonna be biting my nails wondering what there status is.

These are all tough guys though man. All three actually finished the game. So perhaps that's good but really I won't know till Sunday I'm guessing. And yeah, that game is going to be really tough, especially if players are hurt or can't play at all....

But hey, the Titans are DOMINATING and swept the annoying ass Colts!!!! This team has beaten the odds before, I will never count them out!

Oh hey, and by the way, the Titans are the #1 seed in the AFC, don't tell anyone though. It's just the Titans, all they have is Derrick Henry..... HAHAHAHA.

I know they are possibly only the #1 seed because teams had a bye week, and the Titans haven't but still, this is pretty sweet, pretty big. Titans also have head to head victories over the Bills, Chiefs, and Colts. Hopefully, those wins come clutch in the end. But if the Titans just need to focus on week to week!
