The Carolina Panthers might be the most mysterious NFL team heading into 2022 + Titans vs Panthers Madden 22 Head to Head Game

I have the tiniest of tiniest soft spots for the Carolina Panthers. Like the Titans, the Panthers are a relatively new NFL team. I mean, the Titans were the Houston Oilers, but still, the situation is similar enough. The Panthers first NFL season came in 1995. Like the Titans, the Panthers are usually overlooked when it comes to mainstream attention and hype.

Even geographically speaking, the Titans and Panthers are quite close to one another.

When I think of the Panthers as a franchise, obviously they are somewhat inconsistent, but they have had some great seasons in their relatively young existence as a franchise.

In twenty-eight seasons, the Panthers have made the playoffs eight times, and they actually have a winning record of 9-8 in those appearances. Notably, the Panthers actually reached the Super Bowl twice, losing both times to all time great quarterbacks in Tom Brady and Peyton Manning. It's sorta wild to think that the Panthers could possibly have two Lombardi trophies.

Super Bowl 38 Patriots vs Panthers - such an underrated game! The first Super Bowl I vividly remember watching in full!

Super Bowl 50 Broncos vs Panthers - a much less entertaining game, competitive at times.

Present Day Panthers

Right now, and pretty much in recent seasons, the Panthers have been struggling. They have been an absolute mess at quarterback and just have not found a rhythm of any kind with young head coach Matt Rhule.

The Panthers have just been a weird mess. They have some ok pieces throughout, but just nothing has clicked. They have a somewhat underrated receiving core, a good running back when healthy, and I actually like their coach in Matt Rhule despite not having much success yet. The defense in Carolina is even ok.

Simply put, the Panthers need to find a serviceable quarterback and just try to mesh it all together.

Honestly, I like what the Panthers are doing to find their franchise QB. As of now, the Panthers have three mid range quarterbacks, about to compete for the starting position. The quarterbacks competing all have solid traits and potential, I think this competition will produce a good enough QB.

The quarterbacks competing are two young, but experienced players in Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold, and a third rookie QB with solid potential in Matt Corral.

Most believe that the race is more of a two man in race in Darnold and Mayfield, but low-key I think Corral will add a nice layer of pressure.

Besides the quarterback position, the Panthers also drafted an absolute stud savage offensive tackle in Ikem Ekwonu. So once the chaotic quarterback situation is dealt with, whoever the starter is will have an improved line to protect him.

I mentioned their underrated receiving core, Panthers' wide receiver D.J. Moore is quietly having a tremendous career, despite the Panthers' struggles at QB.

Former Titan running back D'Onta Foreman also joined the Panthers in the offseason. I think the Panthers will enjoy his services. I hope Foreman has a great career there!

From their QB situation, their underrated aspects, and their youth at head coach, the Panthers are an odd, intriguing team. I think they have a lot of potential, but also a lot of question marks. This team could really be terrible, or sneak into the playoffs.

The Panthers did start 3-0 last season!

What are some of your thoughts on the Carolina Panthers heading into 2022/23?

Titans vs Panthers Madden 22 Game!

Recently, I had a lot of fun beating the Panthers on Madden 22!

The user I faced used Cam Newton at quarterback! The Panthers signed Cam last year, and well, he wasn't very good. Still, it must have been great for fans to see Cam in Carolina one last time, especially since him getting signed again last year was shocking.

Madden 22 might not only be the last time Cam can be used as a Panther in the Madden franchise, but also, this might be the last time Cam can be used PERIOD. Cam's NFL future is SERIOUSLY up in the air in 2022.

I remembered the other day, that the Titans might be getting a new stadium in the near future, so the very Titans stadium just might be different in Madden soon enough!

The Titans actually lost the last two matchups vs the Panthers, but they did get a nice dub in 2011!

#TITANUP BABY SEASON IS ALMOST HERE!!!
