Can the Los Angeles Chargers take the next step in 2022/23? + Titans vs Chargers Madden 22 H2H - Tannehill goes OFF

Off the top of my head, if I had to pick a darkhorse Super Bowl contending team heading into the 2022 NFL season, I think the Chargers might be that team.

If the Chargers didn't play in the insane AFC West, a division that's only getting scarier, the Chargers might have made the playoffs last year.

There's so much to like on this Chargers team. I am a big fan of their young stud QB in Justin Herbert. If he continues to ascend, I believe he could be considered a top five QB very quickly. If were a Chargers fan, I'd feel really comfortable knowing Herbert is the guy for them. Philip Rivers, to Justin Herbert, the Chargers seem to have a knack for finding quality quarterbacks.

The Chargers just seem like a well rounded team. Their defense last season was a bit suspect, and well, they absolutely addressed that weakness this off-season by adding two star defensive players in outside linebacker Khalil Mack and cornerback J.C. Jackson. Both of these players are proven to be top players, this will absolutely bolster the team overall.

The Chargers drafted a top offensive guard prospect in Zion Johnson a few months ago. Smart choice as they try to protect their QB at all costs. Seems like they had a well balanced draft overall, seemingly drafting pretty much equally on defense and offense.

The Chargers have got A LOT of potential. They've been trying to win a Super Bowl for ages and they seem to be on the right track.

If they didn't play in the AFC West, I'd easily consider the Chargers a playoff team. But six of their games are going to be TOUGH. Win or lose, those games are gonna be dog fights. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out!

The Chargers will be good though, and they will be tough to beat. I consider their lowest possible win total to be like 8, while their ceiling is probably 13.

How do you see the Chargers season going in 2022/23?

Recently, I faced the Chargers in a head to head matchup on Madden 22, and man, I took them apart!

Tannehill had an insanely legendary game!! Just torched the Chargers. I threw some picks, but mostly because I was attempting to fatten up the stats and stretch the lead.

Tannehill's Stats:

  • 7 Total Touchdowns
    • 4 Passing
    • 3 Rushing
  • 364 Total Yards
    • 241 Passing
    • 123 Rushing

Tannehill was looking like Lamar or Vick out there LOL. Herbert threw SEVEN interceptions! Byard, Hooker, and Farley all had picks I believe. Byard had several.

I really hope Tannehill and the Titans can dominate like this this year.

More specifically, I hope the Titans can take notes from this game I played on Madden HA! Because the Titans visit the Chargers in Los Angeles this December!!! December 18th, 4:25 P.M.!

It should be a fantastic game and matchup, hopefully the Titans can put up 60 like I did in Madden.

Historically, the Titans and Chargers have played some very very close intense games. I remember three years ago the Titans won a MUCH needed nailbiter type of game in Nashville that seriously helped salvage the season. I believe this was Tannehill's first start as a Titan!

Looking back, this 2019 Titans vs Chargers game was monumental in turning this Titans team into the winners they have been in recent seasons! Such a great game. Here's my post covering that game almost three years ago! Posted from my other account. Time flies.

I don't like posting losses, but still, the previous Titans vs Chargers games were pure entertainment!
